This week's weather, in the Northeast, was great.  It was mid 60s on Saturday, so we ventured into the city.   We set our GPS coordinates for Colleen and Joe's place in Queens, and within 80 minutes we were knocking on their door.

Joe had to work until mid afternoon because a new education chancellor was being hired for NYC. He met us at the Metropolitan Museum of Art... after we had been there for an hour.

On these pages are photos of of the trip into the city, as well as photos of "autumn", or specifically late autumn.  There is still some "color" but you have to go further south in New Jersey to see the peak colors of Fall.

Occassional color left on the trees.  There are not many trees left that have those deep reds and orange colors...will have to wait until next year to see them again.   Cick to enlarge.

On the way to Gladstone NJ...small winding roads with limited traffic.  Click to enlarge.

Another view of NYC.  It was about 9:00 o'clock in the evening.  I do like the lights coming off the water.   Click to enlarge.

We had just gotten to the museum, and you can see how nice it was outside.  Elizabeth and Colleen.  Click to enlarge.

Train station at 47th st. in Queens.  This was a short two block walk.  Mid-town NYC in the distance.  click to enlarge.

Colleen and Joe have a court yard in the back which is shared by the residents.  It's like a small park which is very nice.  Click to enlarge.
