I am sending photos from our fourth of July gathering here in Rapid City.  Barb and Wendy put together a great day.  We participated in an Amazing Race-type event.  Teams were put together and we started at Barb's house.  Each team had to make 5 free throws and then they could go to the mailbox and get their next clue.  From there, we had to go to Canyon Lake park and get on a paddle boat and paddle around an island in the middle of the lake.  Much harder than it sounds.  Our legs were cooked after that.  After getting our next clue, we went to the driving range at Meadowbrook Golf Club and each team had to hit a bucket of range balls.  The next clue directed us to Flags and Wheels, an amusement park where we had to ride the bumper cars and jump into the batting cage and hit as many balls as you could.  Our last stop was the Heritage Festival where each team had to eat a funnel cake and Indian taco, and then find 10 people willing to wear a patriotic top-hat and hold a flag and take a picture of them.

After all that, we went to Wendy's for a great meal.  Burgers, brats, lots of salads.  And cold beer.  Yum.   We had a great time.
