Unknown (Anyone have this photo also in their scrapbook?)

This may be the children of Nancy Ryan Burke (on far right).  Her son, Will is second from left.  The women are most likely Ms. Pellham and Ms. Nihill.

James Edward Burke's daughter, Betty.

While the photo is not labeled, Mary Ellen said she had a photo of Don and Millie's wedding in their family album.  Next to Don is Robert Ryan, Don's brother.

How Does this family fit into the Ryan family?

Nancy Ryan Burke, the wife of Daniel Burke, was a daughter of James and Nancy (Annie) Ryan of Waukon (Allamakee County), Iowa.  One the Burke's children was Will Burke, who remained in Cushing, Oklahoma, even though most of his family moved to Leavenworth, Kansas.  A sister, Mary Ellen, later moved to Washington state

We want to say thank you to Mary Ellen Chavez and her sister Tabitha for providing these photographs.  We found their family tree in Ancestry.com almost a year ago.

They trace their heritage to Will Burke, the son of Daniel and Nancy (Ryan) Burke.  Mary Ellen said that her mother's name was Lois Maye West, so it appears that they link directly with one of Will and Lu's daughters, Helen (Burke) West.  A picture of Helen with her parents appears on this page.

In a few weeks we may have more information about this family line, and we also hope to add some additional photos.  We will also try to add some "crisper" pictures, as we are hoping that some of you may have the same photos in your old scrapbooks...and maybe can help us identify some of these people.
