The Deadwood Crawl

Yes, we girls (and Matt, Megan, and Casey) ended up in Deadwood for the St. Patrick's Day celebration.  Started at 1:00 pm and closed the bar down at 2:00 am.  We were all part of the pub crawl - our clan name was Touch my Lucky Charms and I'll choke your shamrocks.  Our clan leader - Russ the farmer from New Salem ND - is in one of the pictures with us.  We had some great people in our clan.  And yes, our clan did win the big prize of the night for being the loudest.  For the third year, we were in the parade (best year being the first year Wendy and I led the event).   Had a great time.

 Wendy, Barb, and I went to Bonita Beach, Florida at the beginning of March.  I got to expose Barb and Wendy to "Old Florida" (as in lets hang out with the oldest people in Florida).  After a very cold winter here in South Dakota, the 80 degree temps and sunshine were wonderful.  We stayed with my father-in-law Dale at his condo.  The sister got to see how close we were to his place on our family trip down to Florida in 2007.  Across the bay from where we went shelling on our boat trip. 

 

We kept it simple on this trip.  Lots of beach time.  We went to the Edison/Ford estate, on an air boat ride in the Everglades, and shopping.  But mostly beach time and lots of Landshark.
