Trip to New York We made our way to Joe's apartment and arrived around 11:00 o'clock on Sunday morning. We took a quick tour of his "digs", and made our way to the NYC Museum of Natural History. After a few hours "running through" the museum, we made our way to ground zero by subway. After seeing what's left of the World Trade Center site, we made our way to Wall Street. On the way, we stopped at a church to view a memorial to the disaster. Later we found a TGIF restaurant, and from there we made our way back to New Jersey. Mike, Barb and Joe went back to mid-town for dinner. |

Across the street in the National Stock Exchange, which now has an extremely large flag draped over its exterior. (Top Right). This is a photo taken inside the church just across the street from the World Trade Center site. While a lot of high rise buildings were destroyed in this area, this 18th century church remained unscathed. Today it houses a memorial to the terrorist attack in 1991. |
