The first set of photographs are things buildings and things that the McGonigles would have seen or been aware of.  All of these are things that were in Leadville during the 1880s.  Leadville had several Red Light Districts: one on West 5th Street,  but the most notorious was on West 2nd Street.  Today there are a few pubs, but mostly its residential.  The buildings you see reflected on these pages were built while the McGonigles lived in Leadville.
