Two other articles are about a cousin of the "Irish" John Smith family.  James Sullivan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sullivan of Lone Rock died in France.  One article indicates he was the nephew of P.F. (Peter Francis) Smyth, grocer in Madison.  James Sullivan's grandparents were Patrick Smyth and Margaret Greenan of Bear Creek.

Patrick Smyth’s first wife was named Margaret.  From this union they had the following children:  Mary Anne, Catherine, James P. (Patrick), John W., Alice and Peter.  Mary Anne married a Benton.  I think Catherine married John Sullivan.  Alice, I believe, married a Trainor.
