Neal Ryan with "Finnish" friend.  Neal was a courier for the secret service, and had become engaged to a woman from Finland.  We suspect that this is the woman.  The story is that she was engaged to be married to Neal, but was detained at the airport because she was a Russian spy.  Consequently she was not allowed to enter the USA and the two never were married.

Click to Enlarge.   This collection contains Neal Ryan's last passport (obtained in Puerto Rico), telex from the Philippines announcing Neal's death, paperboy news line, and an article on Neal and his Finnish friend.  By the time his passport picture was taken, Neal had lost considerable weight due to a problem with his esophagus.  He was unable to eat solid foods.
