Ryans and Smiths in Austin
The Oklahoma Ryans visited their son, David, who lives in Austin, and during their stay invited Tim and Laurel to dinner. They met at Pappadeaux's Restaurant, which is a Cajun restaurant in the Austin area. These Ryans trace their family to James Jr., eldest son of James and Nancy Ann Ryan...James Jr. was a brother to Batt Ryan (Batt is the ancestor to the South Dakota Ryans).
During their visit...most of the conversation centered around each of their families. Tim wrote, "Millie showed us pictures of thier family. We saw pictures of children, spouses and grandchildren. Pictures of First Communion brought back old memories...I was reminded of what we wore at our own First Communion. We looked like riverboat gamblers and remember it as quite a "hot suit."
Tim finally mentioned that "it was a lovely evening with good company."
