Union Prairie Homestead - The Ryan farm near Waukon, Iowa
These photos were taken by Don and Millie Ryan of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They had stopped by the Allamakee Historical Society and received support in finding the Ryan homestead.
The Ryans of Union Prairie included the parents of Batt and James (Jr.) Ryan (James and Nancy Ann Ryan), Dennis Ryan (whose farm bordered their northwestern side), and Patrick and Margaret Ryan (daughter of James and Nancy Ann, and whose farm bordered their northeastern side).
