McPhillips Obituaries
Specifically, these obituaries are for the children of Patrick and
Catherine (Byrne) McPhillips. This McPhillips family had close,
personal ties with the "Irish"
John
Smith family living in
Kimball, South
Dakota. We included several spouse obituaries if found.
Patrick and Catherine had eight children - Anna, Elizabeth, Leo, Mary,
Rose, Genevieve, Susan and James. We found obituaries for six of the
eight siblings. Two obituaries are missing - James and Genevieve.
James McPhillips possibly died in 1956. We know he was dead by April
1963 when his daughter, Mary, wed John Rick.
Genevieve outlasted them all. She passed away on March 23, 1993, in
Potomac, Montgomery
County, Maryland. However, at this time we do not have
her obituary. Leo McPhillips was killed in a
car accident. He is the third
relative we know so far to have died in a car accident (one McPhillips
and two Greenan relatives).
