Many years ago I asked Frank Smith about his mother, and one of the things I remember him telling me was that she wanted to be a hat designer. At the time, I found that interesting...but more so recently, when I saw that one of her female relatives was a hat designer who became wealthy in the same profession (see JOHN McPHILLIPS)...

A few weeks ago, Susan Willrodt wrote that we had a picture on our web site that was a "picture of a picture" of Susan and John Smith's wedding picture. We have many pictures on our family site, but after we looked through the photos, we found the photo she was referring to....

...If you haven't heard from anyone yet to get you a picture of Susan McPhillips Smith my sister Mary Hixson has one. It's a picture of she and Irish John. But I "think" it is the same one that I saw on your website with Mary Cecile's pictures. Someone was holding a large framed picture of them.

But if you don't have that one, we will gradually send you one.
